Things to (apparently) never tell your plumber:

"...so I used drain-o"

that's right up there.

Totally got screwed with this, as my roommate was supposed to be home, then called (after the plumbing people said "we'll be there in half an hour") and said he wasn't going to be. So I had to leave work (hello, Christmas rush folks! Yeah, sorry, there's only one of us today) to come home, to be here when the plumbing guy showed. *bares teeth* There are now very scary sounds coming from both the kitchen (drilling) and the bathroom (running water), and I'm missing work to sit here and wait for roomie to show, so I can run back to work, and apologize profusely.

And he's the one that's been bitching about it! (the drain, not work, or waiting)

Oh, now there's sawing, wonderful!

A. -- the good news is that the Christmas lights work.

ew. that's the only word for it. My kitchen sink drains into my bathtub, and my bathtub _does_not_drain_. ew. It's just too disgusting for words right now. I'm still shuddering over it. ick, ew, gross, *hurl* I emailed the landlord today (he lives in....some city in Texas) and he's going to get a plumber to call me, hopefully soon, 'cause I need to take a shower at some point, and I'm not going _near_ what's in my tub. Actually, I'm not going near my tub until it's all drained, and I can get it at it with a liter or seven of bleach.
