Normally, during the week, I bolt down breakfast (2 pieces of toast, with margerine) and two coffees. This is not, however, my prefered morning routine. However, as I have to leave my house at 7 to be at work for 7:30, I have to get up at the ungodly hour of 6 a.m. I refuse to get up any ealier than that.

Today, though, today I get to relax. I booked today off because I thought I would be incredibly hung over yesterday (which I wasn't). I wanted to have a day to get all the chores done - sweeping, mopping, laundry. I wasn't going to do it on my birthday, and I didn't think I'd be in any position yesterday to actually do anything. So, it seemed best to just take a day off of work. I'm only missing one private class, so no problem.

So here I am, sitting at my desk in my pjs, and I'm savouring a cup of coffee. This is what I like to do. Take my time to drink my coffee. Eating doesn't generally happen until after the coffee stage, which is what I dislike so much about my normal week-day routine. It's rushed, and backwards!

I've had enough coffee this morning that I feel like I'm having a panic/anxiety attack. Isn't that odd? I actually thought I was, until I remembered that I was on my third cup of coffee in one and a half hours, and that that was probably the cause.

I've got a personal guarantee from my Luke that he'll sit down and have a beer with me after October 15. Sweet! Of course, this means within the next month I have to become a stunning conversationalist, but I figure 30 odd days should be sufficient for me to learn how to converse about non-grammar related items. Like, hockey. And....and...and....crap! What do people talk about?

I just want to point out that the "I before E except after C" rule is crap. Look at caffeine, rottweiler, weird, weigh, neighbour, etc. etc. Also - sufficient. There's an 'I' before the 'E', only it's after the 'C' so what gives? Why have the rule if the language isn't going to follow it? Seesh.

You've never been afraid of hard work, but you've been doing more than your fair share of it lately, and you're badly in need of a break. So, take it. Let yourself go. Your sign is supposed to be excessive, extravagant and lavish when it comes to recreation, or anything else that strikes your fancy. All this self-discipline may be good for the soul, but not too good for your love life. Make some coffee and get out there.

Well, I've just come off a week's vacation, so I haven't been doing a lot of hard work lately, but I am starting up a week and a half of work straight (that's only because I don't know if I'm working next Sunday or not, it could be longer). At least the coffee part is right.

self-discipline? do they even know me?

...getting up at 6:30 in the morning, when I think I'm working at 8:30, just to find out that I'm working at 11:30.

After I've had coffee.

I should really check these things prior to going to bed.

My morning smoke was just ruined by an annoying cat, who's not even mine, trying to sneak into my apartment. It whined more than my cat does.

And I need food. Coffee is not a food substitute, I've found out. Argh.

And, my mother is sending me forwards at a rapid pace. She must be having a slow day at work.
