Dear Real Estate Agents,
When you, and the person you are escorting around the property, come into my apartment, there are a few important things to remember.
At the top of the list is the fact that this is my home. So take off your damn shoes.
Right below that, is stop unplugging my clock. This is not your home, you don't get to do things like that. Hands off everything.
And third - turn off the damn lights. I pay hydro, you twits, and I'm not paying extra money so you can leave all the lights on for hours on end because you're too lazy to read the sign on the door that says "Please turn off the tenants' lights."
Thanks.

Also, that is totally lame that they are not respecting your home -- there's not much you can do about this, unfortunately, people are total idiots. We had a lot of the same problems with our home; when your home is being viewed, the selling agent is most likely not present -- so there isn't anyone there ensuring that your interests are represented. I would suggest, despite this, contacting the selling agent through your landlord and ask that they politely remind buying agents that they and their clients should remove their shoes, turn off all lights, etc as a common courtesy. A politely worded sign asking for a few basic things like the removal of shoes (especially with this shitty weather!!) and turning off of lights is totally reasonable as well.
