Where to go for a date?

I'm going on a date on Friday, and I've been told to pick a place.

I'll be arriving from Bayshore, he's coming from Tunney's area......any ideas on where to go? Some place where we can talk - so I'm thinking pub over bar. And *no* I'd rather not go to an Oak.....

Suggestions please!

The Buzz Cafe on Bank is really nice. Kinda classy. The music might be loud, though.

I like going to MacLaren's and the Fox and Feather for hanging out purposes -- they're fun and there's games, so you have something to DO with yourself.

I was thinking the Fox and the Feather. He's new to Ottawa, but I know he's been to MacLaren's, so I thought something different. (Plus, I love pool, but I suck at it, so maybe not for a first date...)

My other thought was Pub Italia....
